WordAxis works entirely on your device and needs no internet connection. It does not collect any personal data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.
This policy covers the WordAxis app for iPhone, published by MileAxis. It explains what the app does with information on your device. The privacy policy for this website is separate and is linked at the end.
WordAxis stores your matches, history, statistics and settings on your device, so they are there next time. It also keeps the free-trial counter, both in a file and in the device Keychain so it is not reset by accident.
This information never leaves your device, except as part of your own iCloud or computer backup if you use one. Deleting the app deletes it; the trial counter may remain in the Keychain.
The dictionaries and definitions are included in the app. Checking a word happens on your device and nothing is sent anywhere.
The full game is sold through the App Store as a one-time purchase. Apple processes the payment, and MileAxis never receives your name, Apple Account or payment details. The app checks whether the full game is unlocked using Apple’s StoreKit on your device. Apple gives MileAxis only aggregated sales reports, which do not identify you. Apple’s handling of purchase data is described in Apple’s privacy policy.
Links to Wiktionary and to the dictionary licences open in your browser. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
WordAxis collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
Because WordAxis does not collect personal data, MileAxis holds no information about you from the app to access, correct or delete. If you have a question about this policy, use the contact details below.
If a future version of WordAxis handles data differently, this policy will be updated before that version is released, with a new date at the top.
You can reach MileAxis at any time through the contact form.
The MileAxis website has its own privacy policy.
