WaveMesh does not collect any personal data. Sound is analysed on your device in real time and is never recorded, stored or sent anywhere. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.
This policy covers the WaveMesh app for iPhone and iPad, published by MileAxis. It explains what the app does with information on your device. The privacy policy for this website is separate and is linked at the end.
WaveMesh uses the microphone only when you choose the Microphone source, and only after you allow access. It listens to the music playing around you so the visuals can react to it.
The sound is analysed in memory, a fraction of a second at a time, to measure things like loudness, bass, mids, treble and beats. Only those measurements drive the visuals. The audio itself is never recorded, saved to a file, or transmitted, and the measurements are discarded straight away.
While the microphone is in use, iOS shows its recording indicator. You can turn microphone access off at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Microphone.
When you import audio files, WaveMesh opens them from the location you choose and plays and analyses them on your device. They are not copied to a server or shared with anyone. The playlist is not kept after you close the app.
WaveMesh stores your settings, favourites and the presets you save on your device, so they are there next time. This information never leaves your device, except as part of your own iCloud or computer backup if you use one. Deleting the app deletes it.
WaveMesh Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment and manages subscriptions, and MileAxis never receives your name, Apple Account or payment details. The app checks whether Pro is active using Apple’s StoreKit on your device. Apple gives MileAxis only aggregated sales reports, which do not identify you. Apple’s handling of purchase data is described in Apple’s privacy policy.
When you show WaveMesh on a TV, iOS sends the picture to the screen you choose, through AirPlay or a cable. MileAxis receives nothing from this.
WaveMesh collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
Because WaveMesh does not collect personal data, MileAxis holds no information about you from the app to access, correct or delete. If you have a question about this policy, use the contact details below.
If a future version of WaveMesh handles data differently, this policy will be updated before that version is released, with a new date at the top.
